About US
Born from a Love for the Mountains
Where slow living meets the mountains — a home built for comfort, calm, and connection.
The Story
Himalayan Hidden House was envisioned by Abhishek Sharma and his family who wanted to preserve the real soul of the Himalayas — not the commercial version that crowds see, but the quiet, sacred beauty known only to a few.
They chose Chakrata for its serenity, ancient stories, and raw landscapes. The house was built slowly, using local stone, reclaimed wood, and traditional craftsmanship, blending into the mountain rather than standing apart from it.
Every detail — from the open kitchen to the sunken lounge, from the fireplace to the reading loft — was designed to make guests feel at home in nature’s rhythm.
The Philosophy
Simplicity. Stillness. Soul.
We believe true luxury lies in simplicity — in the quiet moments between sunrise and tea, in handwritten notes, in the smell of rain on stone.
Our goal is to keep the experience personal, sustainable, and deeply human.
That’s why we host only a few guests at a time, cook with local ingredients, and work closely with the mountain communities around us.
This isn’t a resort. It’s a retreat for those who value presence over perfection.
The Vision
Our vision is to create a space where modern travellers can experience the true Himalayan spirit — sustainable, soulful, and deeply connected to the land and its people. A stay at Himalayan Hidden House isn’t just a getaway; it’s an invitation to experience life as it’s meant to be — peaceful, grounded, and beautifully real.
